Snøhetta is one half of the NCL’s Prime Design Consultant Team – the architects responsible for the design of the NCL. Snøhetta is a renowned international firm based in Olso Norway and New York that works on projects from museums to performing arts centres to libraries. Snøhetta designed the iconic library in Alexandria in Egypt, at Ryerson University in Toronto and others in the U.S.
Snøhetta teamed up with designers and architects at DIALOG, based in Calgary. DIALOG has made its mark on Canadian architecture with projects in arts and culture, education, wellness, urbanism, retail and many other sectors. Their multi-dimensional expertise and knowledge of the local environment serve the NCL design well.
Stuart Olson is one of the largest construction companies in Canada, and is the Construction Manager for the New Central Library. As construction manager, Stuart Olson manages all site coordination, ensures all safety requirements are met or exceeded, and manages all sub-trades involved with this project. Stuart Olson managed the construction for the LRT encapsulation, and will now manage the construction of the library.
As project managers on the New Central Library, Colliers ensures that work is carried out on time and on budget. The team also oversees quality control on the entire NCL project.
