While MMI today is used in all Audi models, the first car to feature MMI was Audi A8 D3 in 2002. From there on, different Audi cars have featured different MMI models. Depending on the specs, we currently have 10 different models of the MMI system excluding the latest MMI MIB 3.

How does MMI work on an Audi A5?

MMI shows phone book, missed calls, received calls, dialled calls, etc. If you have Bluetooth Low, this should be a simple case of pairing the phone and that should do it. I have Bluetooth High in the car so there is a bit more to consider when choosing how to pair.

Is there a DVD player for the Audi MMI?

Bluetooth should work with ANY Bluetooth compatible phone. Vehicle compatibility only comes into it if you want to use an Audi fitted cradle (in which you can ‘DOCK’ your phone). Then you need to purchase correct cradle for your particular phone. Not all phones are accomodated with a compatible cradle.
