Elliott Lucca, as the company was first known, grew to $1.5 million in five years before Talucci and Elliott realized they weren’t having fun anymore. Their business model consisted of buying rattan and leather bags in Indonesia and re-selling them to any store that would take them.

Jenn works directly with a village of makers in East Bali called Tenganan. This small community of artisans is known by the Balinese for their ata grass craftsmanship which is passed down through generations.

What about plastic bags? All “scrunchable” plastic including shopping bags, plastic food packaging, fruit netting and dry cleaning bags can be recycled although most often not via your home recycle bin. These plastics are then recycled into plastic school furniture.
