What type of insurance is Colorado Access?
Colorado Access is a nonprofit health plan. We have many programs to help you take charge of your health. Colorado Access helps Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) members in Denver County. We also help members outside Denver County if they get primary care from one of our providers.
What does Child Health Plus cover?
Child Health Plus provides uninsured children under 19 years of age with a full range of health care services for free or a low monthly cost, depending on family income. In addition to immunizations and well-child care visits, Child Health Plus covers prescription drugs, vision, dental, and mental health services.
What is CHP health insurance?
The Child Health Program (CHP) helps pay for health coverage for children 18 and under who don’t have access to other health coverage. Child Health Program members receive a subsidy to help pay monthly premiums, and do not have to pay copays or out-of-pocket costs for most care at Kaiser Permanente facilities.

- You’ll get auto-assigned to an HMO based on where you live. If you don’t get assigned to Colorado Access and you want to be on our plan, you can change your health plan.
What is the age limit for CHP+?
18 and under
Children age 18 and under and pregnant women age 19 and over. Applicants with household income under 260% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
What is Colorado’s Medicaid called?

Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) is free or low-cost health care for Colorado children and adults who qualify. Coloradans who meet specific monthly income requirements can get insurance through Health First Colorado.
Does Child Health Plus pay for braces?
