What does NGC grade mean?
Numeric Grades. NGC uses a numeric grade to succinctly describe a problem-free coin’s condition. The available numeric grades range from 1 to 70 based on an internationally recognized scale developed in the 1940s. As the numeric grade increases, a coin’s condition is considered to be better.

Whats better PCGS or NGC?
The Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS) and the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) are rated as “Superior” by the Professional Numismatists Guild. ANACS graded coins generally trade at lower premiums than PCGS or NGC graded coins.
Can I trust PCGS?
The services are–supposedly–unbiased third parties who grade the coins for the benefit of sellers and buyers alike. So today, PCGS and NGC will slab modern coins, and, unfortunately, this causes unknowledgeable persons to believe that modern coins have added value if they have been slabbed. They do not.
