The total number of seal pups born during the last breeding season in 2020, at Donna Nook was 2,214 which was increase on the previous year. The seals will return again to Donna Nook and will give birth to over 2,000 pups later this year, from the end of October and throughout November and December 2021.

What time of day is best to see seals?
When it’s hot and sunny, the seals typically leave the beach each morning by 7:00 or 8:00am at the latest. They’ll gradually return to the sand in the late afternoon or early evening, once the shade and/or tide has cooled off the sand.
