The scale consists of 5 levels, with 1 being the most critical (resuscitation), and 5 being the least critical (nonurgent).
What is Category 2 triage?
Emergency (triage category 2) is for conditions that could be life threatening and require prompt attention such as chest pain or possible stroke. Patients in this category should be seen within 10 minutes of presenting to the emergency department.

When to go to triage at Hopital Montfort?
If you have not received a call by the 37th week, please contact your clinic. As of the 20th week of your pregnancy, you can go to Hôpital Montfort’s triage if you have any concerns, or if you have gone into labour. This department is open 24/7. Are there limits to number of visitors to Montfort?
Based on the calculation of the level of risk, a maximum number of visitors is established to ensure the safety of all. At the moment, patient visits are limited to one (1) designated visitor or care partner, and for exceptional circumstances. In addition, no visits are allowed to a unit if and when there is a COVID-19 outbreak.
Can you go to the emergency room in Montfort?
Montfort Emergency is open to everyone, regardless of age or place of residence. Patients who hold a Quebec health insurance card, and who require follow-up with a specialist after their visit to Emergency, will be redirected to their family physician, or to a walk-in clinic in Quebec.
