How much HP can a ka24det handle?
^ the stock motor can handle 509whp ( Not proven by Back Yark Productions) but dyno proven somewhere in the 440whp. Reliably your looking at around 300-350whp. Personally i wouldnt go over 280whp or over 10-11psi on a medium sized turbo. SAFCII is fine as long as its tuned properly and your timing is setup correctly.
Is the KA24DE a good engine?
It may seem adequate power numbers for a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter engine, which handed it a ratio of slightly greater than 1hp per cubic inch, but it certainly wasn’t anything to yell from the rooftops about in stock form. The KA24DE is an excellent candidates for a stroker kit.
Is the KA24DE worth building?
yes its worth it if you have a strong ka still with good compression numbers and low mileage and run no more than 10psi on stock internals., I have the same mazgine, I plan on using the same turbo as they did for the 240 in the magzine, the turbo was a holset hx35.
How much HP does a sr20det have?
When built properly, the SR20 can reliably support more than 700 hp at the wheels. For those seeking a reliable, cost-effective engine swap that is practically a drop in for the S13 and S14 240SX, look no further.
How much can a stock sr20det handle?
From everything I’ve read the stock bottom end of the SR20 will handle around 20-23 psi as long as your make sure your fuel delivery system and intake temp is in check. I, however, wouldn’t count on it lasting too long at that pressure. 15 psi is a safe boost level that will keep your car running for a long time.

What kind of engine does a Nissan KA24DE have?
The first version of the engine was KA24E. It used 4-cylinder inline cast-iron cylinder block with cylinder diameter 89 mm. Inside forged crankshaft was installed with 96 mm piston stroke, and also 165 mm forged connecting rods. On top it had aluminium cylinder head with one camshaft (SOHC) and 3 valves per cylinder, two intake and one exhaust.
Is there a stroker kit for the KA24DE?
Also stroker kits for KA24DE are available. They have crankshaft with 102mm piston stroke, 165mm connecting rods and 90mm pistons. This kit will let increasing displacement to 2.6L, but it will reduce max RPM. Such kits are rather expensive, it would be more efficient to make KA24DET.
What is the firing order of a Nissan KA24DE?
KA24 firing order is 1-3-4-2. Along with KA24DE, 2L KA20DE was produced. In 2004 KA24DE engine was substituted for more modern 2.5L QR25DE. This engine belongs to the simple, reliable and durable Japanese engines of the 90-s.
How big is the inlet valve on a KA24E?
Inlet valves were 36.6 mm in diameter, the exhaust – 31.3 mm. These engines were called KA24DE. In contrast to KA24E, KA24DE engines have new oil pan and oil jets, modified pistons and crankshaft with compression ratio 9.5. On models for SUV compression ratio is reduced to 9.2 and 9.3.
