Based on the Harley-Davidson Softail but with a stretch tank, restyle rear fender, chromed fork sliders and pull back bars, the Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce has clean, classic lines that are classic Harley. It’s also classily built, goes decently well and has lots of options available. Sweet.
Why did Harley discontinue the deuce?
As much as I like the Deuce, the only reason HD discontinued it would be that they didn’t sell enough of them. For those of us that own one it makes the bike a bit unique. You don’t see 10 of them lined up along the curb any where.

The Deuce is, after all, a Softail, meaning that it doesn’t have much rear-wheel travel to work with. Plus, that wheel is mated with a wide (160/70-17), low-profile high-performance tire that has a shorter, stiffer sidewall than those 16-inchers.
