What is annular space grouting?
Annular space grouting is process of filling the area between a host pipe and liner pipe in re-lining applications. What is annular spacing?
The annulus, or annular space, is the space between a penetrant and whatever surrounds it, such as the sides of an opening or a sleeve, as the case may be. Sometimes an annulus can be “offset”, meaning that the penetrant is not centred.

Annular filler is an impervious, usually bentonite, cement or a bentonite-and cement mix placed in the annulus (the space between the casing and the borehole wall) to prevent the introduction of drilling fluids or other contaminants from drilling operations into local groundwater sources.

How do you calculate annular velocity?
Annular Velocity Formula

- Flow rate required in gpm = (Annular Velocity ) × (Dh2 – DP2) ÷ 24.5.
- Flow rate required in gpm = (Annular Velocity × π) × (Dh2 – DP2) ÷ 4000.
- SPM = (Annular Velocity × Annular Capacity) ÷ Pump Output.
How do you find the volume of a borehole?

Next, use the following equation: pi (or 3.15 if you’re not using a calculator) times the square of your radius times the height of your well.
