What is Decimation Master?
Decimation Master is a free Plugin for ZBrush that allows you to greatly reduce the poly count of a model while preserving the high resolution detail. Decimation Master’s ease of use is matched only by its speed.
What is ZRemesher ZBrush?
ZRemesher has been updated in ZBrush 2019 to have better support for hard surfaces models, with a focus on re-topologizing meshes resulting from Live Boolean operations or imported from CAD 3D packages. ZRemesher is now able to better detect hard surface edges, producing fewer polygons and with better accuracy.
What is DynaMesh?
DynaMesh is a tool in ZBrush that allows you to change a model’s shape and then immediately recalculate an optimal topology for the new mesh. Working with DynaMesh removes many restrictions, letting you change your model’s shape drastically, cut it apart, or reassemble it into different seamless configurations.
How do you Remesh in Zbrush?
To remesh one or more SubTools, go to the Tool > SubTool menu and make visible all SubTools which need to be remeshed. Invisible/hidden SubTools won’t be used for this operation. In the Remesh All section, change the options according to your needs and press the Remesh All button to generate a new SubTool.
How do you decimate in Zbrush?
Decimation Master in 3 Steps!
- Set any desired options.
- If you have one SubTool, press the “Preprocess current” button to launch the optimization computing.
- When it’s done, choose a quality and press “Decimate” or “Decimate all”, depending of the previous step.
Does ZBrushCore have Zremesher?
Unfortunately Zbrush Core does not have ZRemesher. This is a great automatic retopology tool that Zbrush has created. You can still perform some automatic retopology in Zbrush through Dynamesh or Decimation Master but the output of these does not match ZRemeshers results.
Does ZBrushCore have Dynamesh?
Enable DynaMesh When you first open ZBrushCore, you’ll see a sphere that’s loaded by default and you can select any of the brushes at the bottom of the UI to start adjusting the mesh in different ways. Click the DynaMesh sub-palette on the right-hand side of the screen to expand it.
When does ZBrush use the decimation Master preference?
This preference is activated by default when ZBrush is running on a 64 bit system. Then when in action, Decimation Master will use all the memory available for the pre process which is very useful when decimating a model and keeping its UVs. Notes: The Decimation Master preferences are not bound to ZBrush ones.
What’s the difference between voxel remesher and ZBrush?
Once you’re satisfied with the Remesh settings, you can continue sculpting and press Control + R to remesh again using the same settings. One of the most-praised star features of ZBrush is ZRemesher. ZRemesher allows you to auto-retopologize a mesh with a more sophisticated result than a voxel remesher can.
Which is better for polygon reduction blender or zbrush?
The effective polygon reduction ZPlugin called Decimation Master also has a comparable counterpart in Blender, in the shape of the Decimate modifier. The polygon reduction algorithms and efficient results are quite on par with each other. The only thing the Decimate modifier is still missing is control over decimation based on polypaint.
Why does the decimation process take so long?
If you define a symmetry plane which does not match the model’s symmetry, the decimation process can take more time because the internal process will check for a symmetry plane which doesn’t exist. The result will be an asymmetrical decimation, but not a failure in the result.
