Where can I buy a matching Shaw LNB?
If your parents dish/LNB has been upgraded you will need to get a matching LNB. They can be purchased independent of Shaw Direct via ebay or kijiji if you are in Canada. Once your LNB matches that should improve things somewhat as long as your receiver is at least a 600 series receiver.
When does Shaw Direct take the dual quad out of service?
Shaw Direct is pulling all the old Dual Quad LNB’s out of service by the end of 2019. If you are still using the Dual Quad, you will be receiving a letter explaining the changeover. If you have a secondary dish at the cottage, cabin, or trailer, you need to find yourself a 2nd Triple xKu LNB this year to be prepared for next year’s changeover.
Can You reprogram Shaw Direct to accept xku LNB?
Once you have installed the xKu LNB (done by yourself or a Technician), Shaw Direct must be called so they can reprogram the receivers to accept the new LNB. What I don’t know is whether you can reprogram the receivers yourself, as described by Channel Master.
