What are the specs of a Yamaha ns-100m?
I found a Yamaha Hi-Fi general brochure for that time period and it lists the NS-100M tiered below the NS-1000 and the NS-690III. Ir is described as follows: Now, among my 100plus pairs of speakers, I have a NS-500 2/way speaker and I have seen this model in both 2/way and 3/way but have not seen any brochure or specs for these speakers.
When did the Yamaha NS 1000 speakers come out?
The Yamaha NS-1000 were designed and released to the market in 1974. They received very good reviews in British HiFi press in the late 70s. There were two versions of these speakers. The one referred to as “NS-1000” was designed with domestic market in mind and had enclosures made from solid wood, which gave each speaker a modest weight of 39kg!

All of these NS1000/M/X etc. need their Capacitors and Inductors and internal wiring (including the connectors) updated to the latest top audio versions, but everything else should be kept the same. As some have noted, no, they don’t have the frequency extremes, but neither does the majority of the music available!
