What license do you need for scissor lift?
The IPAF Licence is often referred to as a PAL card, IPAF licence, cherry picker licence or scissor lift ticket! A PAL Card, IPAF Card, IPAF Licence or certificate is what you need to prove you have the right training and experience to use powered access equipment (eg. Cherry pickers or Scissor Lifts).

Does OSHA require training for scissor lift?
Employers must provide workers training on hazards, including how to work safely with or near scissor lifts. (29 CFR 1926.454). Training must, at a minimum, include: Manufacturer’s instructions for operating the scissor lift vertically and while in transit.
How long does a scissor lift licence last?

The majority of IPAF MEWP, MCWP and Construction Hoist courses, if passed, will qualify you for a Powered Access Licence (PAL Card), which is globally recognised and proof that you have been trained to the highest standard. Your PAL Card lasts for five years (dependent on your country/regions regulations).
How long is a scissor lift certification good for?
Yes, after a certain period of time, scissor lift tickets will expire generally every 5 years. However depending on your governing state body, this time frame can differ. Something to also consider is the expiry time of your High Risk Work Licence, these also expire every 5 years.
Can you put a ladder in a scissor lift?
Buckets, step stools, or ladders should never be used in a scissor lift as a way to gain extra height to reach work surfaces. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), this usually rules out moving the lift in an elevated position.
